PEPY Alcohol Policy
1. It is strictly forbidden to bring and/or consume alcoholic drinks and to bring, buy, sell and/or consume drugs. Also see point 4 of this policy. The PEPY organization has the right to check luggage.
2. It is strictly forbidden to smoke inside the buildings in which we sleep and/or work.
3. It is strictly forbidden to visit a bar on your own initiative during the PEPY event.
4. Beer and wine will be sold in the bar, on presentation of a consumption ticket, and the following directions will apply:
- The legal consumption and/or purchasing ages of the country where the PEPY takes place are taken into account.
- Purchasing and/or drinking a glass of beer/wine is only permitted if the parents/guardians of the student have given permission through the registration form.
5. The maximum quantity is two glasses of beer/wine per day. We will take the following actions to realize this policy:
·The bar will close before curfew and the students will go directly to the hotel.
· According to the General Project Information-document the teachers are responsible for their ‘own’ delegation during the project. This also refers to the handling of the consummation tickets and to the behaviour of the students.
· There will always be one or more teachers in the public areas.
· The students who are eligible to the consumption of alcohol can buy only one glass of beer/wine at a time.
· During the evening it is forbidden to go into the city on your own initiative. During daytime the students may only go into town with permission of the PEPY organization and the teachers involved.
· The PEPY Board has the right to use a puff and SIP device for checking the alcohol permillage
· If a student disregards the directions of this policy, or if an alcohol test shows a violation of the legally permitted alcohol permillage in the country where the event takes place, the whole delegation of the student can be excluded from the project. The directions and actions mentioned in this document might be subject to change. The PEPY Board has the right to come to a binding decision in any situation they find such appropriate. The PEPY Board has the right to act in its sole discretion in a case.
